郭虹波，教授，博士生导师，一直致力于病毒与宿主相互作用的研究。博士毕业于荷兰乌得勒支大学，师从国际著名病毒学家Frank van Kuppeveld教授。荣获欧盟分子生物学会（EMBO）优秀青年科学家长期资助基金（Long-term Fellowship），以EMBO学者身份加盟德国海德堡大学Ralf Bartenschlager教授（拉斯克奖获得者）团队。

2021年全职加入徐州医科大学基础医学院、江苏省免疫与代谢重点实验室。主持国家自然基金青年项目、江苏省自然基金青年项目等基金项目，并荣获江苏省“双创博士”等人才称号。

在病毒学领域已发表SCI论文近30篇，其中以通讯（或第一）作者在PNAS、PLoS Pathogens、JHEP Reports、Emerging Infectious Diseases等领域内顶级期刊发表文章10篇。荣获荷兰皇家微生物学Kiem Awards（医学微生物领域），欧洲肝病学会Full Bursary Awards等学术奖励。
